MediaCom has always prided itself on its cricket traditions and heritage, having won the prestigious NABS 6-a-side tournament on numerous occasions. Not only do we enter a team in the NABS annually, we also play a series of eleven-a-side matches against both suppliers and clients over the summer.
Led by Nick Lawson, and jointly skippered by Mick Mernagh and Graeme Canter, MediaCom encourages its staff to participate in the matches in order to bond with clients, and help build better relationships with suppliers.
The MediaCom netball team consists of approximately 30 regular members of staff. Launched in 2003, the team have played every season and have gone from strength to strength. Earlier this year, for the first time, we entered a mixed team into a tournament which turned out to be a great success.
In addition to playing each week, MediaCom hosts an annual tournament to where other agencies and media sales points are invited to compete. The last tournament consisted of 20 teams, and over 1,300 was raised for the Rays of Sunshine Childrens Charity.
