MediaCom was one of the first media companies to be
recognised as having achieved the IPA standard for Continuous Professional
Development (CPD). All of the client-facing staff within the agency keep
a web-based log which records all their training activities and self-learning
and this forms a very important part of each individual's ongoing appraisals.
The training programme is diverse and inclusive, with activities not only aimed at improving individual skills but also promoting teamwork, creating a more efficient business and a challenging and exciting culture and spirit of co-operation.

14 of our senior staff sit on 21 industry committees, including the IPA Council, E-Commerce Working Group, Outdoor Committee, Finance Group, the ABC Consumer Magazines Committee and the DMA door-to-door council. We maintain a high profile within these groups to ensure that we are able to influence Freshness.
We use both external and internal trainers across all our training programmes and we positively encourage many of our senior staff to pass on their own experiences to junior members through regular lunchtime workshops. Our training programme includes the following initiatives:
