Television & newspapers are still prime news sources
MediaCom View: The growth of the internet is grabbing the majority of headlines at the moment, but in the background TV’s audiences are as strong as they ever were. In 2006 adult impacts were up 2% yoy. The average individual is watching 4 hours of TV per day. No other medium can compete with that kind of volume. In an evolving age of channel fragmentation, PVR, IPTV, and VOD the viewers are becoming the schedulers. People are watching what they want, when they want and most importantly, they are watching more.
